I'm planning on overclocking my athlon x2 3800+, I have minimal overclocking experience in the real world, and I've read a few things online. Also I read the basic guide here on the forums.

Basically, is there anything in particular I need to keep in mind while overclocking a dual core processor that the basic guide on this forum dosn't go over?

I bought a freezer 64 pro as aftermarket cooling goes.

Thanks.

pretty much the same as overclocking a single core processor. i was able to take my 4800+ to 2.62mhz @ 1.312v on water. you should have better results, the 3800's overclock better in my experience.

Keep an eye on your temps of course, and make sure when stressing to test for stability that you stress both cores by, for example, running two instances of SuperPi (one assigned to each core).

you have to set affinity on each core to run 2 intances of prime 1 for each core....

and read the F@H fact if you fold
