Anything (non LCD-TV) available that's larger than 30"?

Hey guys,

Is there anything larger than the 30" Dell/Apple that's not an LCD TV (I.e., something with even higher resolution support than the 30" Dell/Apple's)?

I'm working on this project and it would be nice to have one really really large monitor. Projector's just don't cut it. Looking for something 40" or larger... figuring $4k budget (for a project... not really my money).

You can get a really nice 50" panasonic plasma for 3,000, but it won't have resolution anywhere near 2560x1600.

IMO for doing work, if you don't have the huge resolution, a bigger size doesn't 'really' help.

There was a 56" high resolution panel announced at CEBIT but I haven't seen anything after that. However, it might be something that you could look into.
While its announced as a TV panel, its high resolution Quad HD - 3840 x 2160 makes it a monitor more than anything.

They don't come cheap though, and they're actually multiple panels hooked up together.
