I live in a dorm room so I don't need something REALLY huge...looking for something in the 24" to 32" range under $2k. On newegg there's a Viewsonic 30" that's $1400, but can be found for about $1130 elsewhere. On Dell's site, there's the W3000 that I see a price of $1400 for (federal government overseas employee discount
) that has about the same features, plus detachable speakers which I like (I would use my Z-680s for audio anyway) I like my friend's Dell 2405FPW, but the only reason I would want one myself is for watching movies and stuff; I really don't need a 1920x1200 screen resolution, and for what I want to do with it, I'm thinking LCD TVs would be more appropriate.
The Dell TV has a 25 ms [advertised] response time...too high as a computer monitor for computer gaming, but will it be too big of a handicap for video and PS2 gaming (component of course)? The Viewsonic has a 16 ms response time.
