Anyone with a windowed P180 yet?

I realize the point of this case is that it is sleek and sexy, but I bought it more for the internal design than the external. As such, I would REALLY REALLY REALLY like a window in it. Has anyone managed to do this yet? I would image it to be hard with the funky material the pannels are made of, but surely it can be done. Anyone done it? Got pics?
 
There was a website that has been selling windowed P180's for quite awhile now. I actually emailed them asking how hard it was to cut the case, and the guy who did it said it wasn't very hard at all. Of course my memory is crap and I cant remember the website now.
 
Performance-PCs is selling the premodded case for the low, low price of $250. All I want is the pannel, and would be willing to do a mod provided it is easy for a beginner (and I can get replacement side pannel should I botch it).
 
ask them to sell you the side panel? plus its easy for them because they probably have a real machine that cuts perfect lines instead of a dremel or rotatary. :p
 
I'm working on this. Granted, it's a crappy sketch. I'm just waiting for the PSOne LCD to arrive and then I'll get chopping.
 
I contacted Performance-PCs to see if they would seel me a premodded pannel. Henry said they do not sell pannels separately, but he would be happy to sell me a kit for $40. According to him, the kit includes "a custom designed laser cut acrylic panel, all mounting hardware, trim ring and instructions." What is a "trim ring?" Is it something to go around the edge of the window to cover up where the window meets the metal?

Would you say this kit is worth $40? Or would I be better off getting some plexiglass, busting out the old Dremel and cutting away? I have a plan to do it myself, but I don't know what I'm going to do if I botch it. Guess I will have a lot of explaining to do to Antec when I try to order another pannel.
 
Why dont you ask them to mod a side for you and you can send them yours for a trade so they are not loosing a side?
