Anyone with a BFG ultra having this problem?

I had an Antec Trueblue 480W PSU and when I got that message for the first time I thought I needed a bigger supply. Now I shelled out $120.00 for an Antec Truepower 550 and I STILL get these annoying ass pop ups. Should I RMA this stupid card or is something else at fault here? I suppose an RMA is pretty much out of the question since I would be left with no other video card to tide me over unless I press for a cross shipment (which I may very well end up having to do.)

Is your card getting power from dedicated leads? Nothing else should be on the same line as the video card.

My card is getting two dedicated lines from my PSU. Before anyone asks: The lines being fed to it are NOT the ones marked 'fan'.

I have the same card and the same power supply and I have not gotten that message. Also, I have 2 optical drive, 3 hard drives, and my Athlon 64 is overclocked.

It sounds like some other problem to me.

call them, their tech support is great. I had to RMA my 6800ultra oc because it was damaged in shipping (cap fell off, grrr, didn't even get a chance to fire it up), sent it off yesterday, expect it back by next friday or possibly the monday after that if things are slow. it was painless, just called up, explained my situation, got an RMA number, and shipped the thing. 15 minutes, including the time to drive to the ups store and ship it. they have a 1-2 day turnaround.

Have you checked the PSU voltage to make sure that the PSU is good? I have a brand new PSU in my system from Antec that has a very sloppy rail in it, just have not had time to RMA it.

Funny too, shouldn't that video card icon have TWO power leads running to it??? :p

it should also have a nuclear symbol on it, and an option to order your own mini nuclear generator to power the card :p

Maybe you should change Power Leads to see if it's the Card or the Power Supply. Maybe the current lead is only giving it so much voltage.
Just a thought!

I'd assume you have a defective card that has something wrong with the molex connections. In fact people have gotten 6800U cards working on Antec Truepower 430W power supplies without issue. The first PSU you had should have been fine, nevermind the second. Would suggest RMAing the 6800U.

I would first suggest getting a multimeter and checking the power. That will tell you what you need to do IMO.
