I think I'm going to install OpenBSD on a spare box I have, and was wondering if there would be any issue folding on it with the linux client. So is anyone using an OpenBSD box to fold? I don't want a perfectly good 2GHz Athlon XP not folding. :D

Thanks for the link. I'll give this a try on Monday when I get around to installing it.

Let us know how that goes, sandmanx. I havent gotten around to setting up my OpenBSD web/ftp server here at home, but it'd be nice to know how it'll fold when I do. :)

<Update>

I tried the method in the link, but it's ancient. I finally got it working after googling for about an hour and finding this:

http://forum.folding-community.org/viewtopic.php?t=8330

This worked for the latest version of OpenBSD, 3.7. My fist was about to go through my monitor until this finally worked. The older elf2olf method kept core dumping. :mad:

I think it's time they update their FAQ over at Stanford. Any idea who needs to be emailed about that?

I've got a PII 350 right next to me... not doing much. I installed fedora core4 on it last week, but haven't really touched it.

Never really cared for Open.... I'm a NetBSD man.
Based on the same technology though so it's all good. :)

I've used all of them at some point. I haven't used Net or Open though in 5+ years, and figured I'd try them out again. I've got a NetBSD 68K Mac sitting under a desk at home(not on.)
