Is anyone using 2 different brands of lcd's for a dual setup? After doing some research, I'm wondering if getting 2 different lcd's would be the best solution to get the best of both worlds. The best gaming lcd's (low response time) usually don't have the best colors or viewing angle. Therefore I'm considering getting a low response time lcd for gaming and a different model for surfing the net, homework, programming. I was considering a fast tn+film or ips panel (hs94p or dell 2001/2005) for gaming, and a samsung pva panel for everything else. Does anyone have a similar setup? If not, do you regret not having as good a viewing angle or more bland colors? tks

Samsung 172x for Gaming and everything else.

Dell e173p for general stuff and everything else.
 
I do. I have a Dell 1901pf and a Dell 1801fp...I hardly notice the difference other than the stand...
 
You should make your main LCD the one with the best specs, ie fast response time. Your secondary monitor will not really be used in gaming, but helps in everyday applications. Also you might want to consider a 23" Widescreen. I went from dual monitors to a 23" and love it. But then again I still have dual monitors....
