Thermaltake Extreme Spirit (A1899) Nothbridge and Southbridge chipset cooler.

looks kinda cool, right now on my asus board there is no active cooling, think this would make a diffrence?

Looks cool, has a pretty good RPM, and a pretty low noise, especially for 5000 rpm. However, it has a short life expectancy (only 30 000 hours...) But then, if you don't use your computer all the time, it wouldn't wear out before your computer becomes 10-year old and obsolete.

Personally, I like the Swiftech MCX159. It will perform better than the Thermaltake, and IMO the thermaltake is ugly. That heatsink just doesn't match the rest of the unit. Most boards dont even need active cooling. Touch the northbridge hs. If it is too hot for your tastes, then you need one... Just my 0.02

Mine has an active fan and large heatsink on it, and it burns me. @__@

MCX159 by far IMO, wayy better, come on a thick copper base and those o-so-beautiful silver pins, what more could you ask for?

hmm the Swiftech MCX159 looks like a bunch of nails driven into a copper block... LOL are their cpu HSF to match? cuz i have a areo7 blower for my cpu HSF and thought the thermal take would match niceley... if i paint it..

yeah thats it paint it!...

unless you plan on matte black, that will probably hurt your temps.

at least the swifty doesnt look like its made out of legos

i like the thermalright one, my old AMD mobo needed active cooling, god bless my cold p4.

then again, my old amd palomino needed an active HSF to stay cool even in the back of my junk drawer

3.53cfm all while producing 41dBA of whine? Go with Thermalbreak if you feel those specs are worthwhile
