so, if I cut it in 2 I can use both? and it it bright, also is there any good prices for it any were I need two 2 1/2 foot pieces it be great if I can get then for $5 or less each since a 5 foot peice cost like $10

IMHO, i think EL wire is expensive and not worth the outcome

they LOOK hard to make look good (did that make sense?) and that just discourages me from trying

the fact that i havent seen anyone make it look good just adds to me not wanting to give it a try

maybe u can be the first one to make EL wire look good...

Hmm I have blue EL wire. Bought it because a co-worker said it was awesome. Put it in my case..Took it out next day.

It is hard to make look good, and the kind I had wasnt blue..It looked green. It also whined a bit from the inverter.

My 2 cents: dont waste it. You want some? Buy mine.

You can hook terminated pieces together. Look in the FAQ.

I will have a mod soon using red EL wire.

Also, try using EL tape instead if you are concerned about it.
