I'm seeing lots of work shortages and server outages running the CPU client on two single-core machines. One machine has been trying to send/receive work for almost a full day. I have three dual cores running A3 units perfectly. It's not worth the hassle running these machines on FAH for 200PPD anymore. I'm planning to switch them to WCG once the DDDT2 project cranks into high gear.

[13:22:34] + Attempting to get work packet
[13:22:34] - Connecting to assignment server
[13:22:34] + No appropriate work server was available; will try again in a bit.
[13:22:34] + Couldn't get work instructions.
[13:22:34] - Attempt #36 to get work failed, and no other work to do.
Waiting before retry.

I got another A1 last night, but got an A3 this morning after that one finished. Almost all my folding is being done on my CPU atm, partly to preserve my poor tortured GTX285 and Partly because I want to wear out my C0 920 so I can get a newer one :D

I'm almost all SMP as far as my ppd goes.

I've got 1 or 2 GPU out there in borgs, and a couple at home.

The standard client has not been worth it in my opinion for well over 2 years. (out side of just installing it on a random system/borg and letting it go)

I have two or three borgs, but can't access them.

I wonder if we should rename/redefine what a borg is.

Borg: A system that is not your system, but folds under your u/n and you have full/partial access.

Zombie: A system that is not your system, but folds under your u/n, however you have no access to.

I have always been an All-CPU folder with the exception of a couple of PS3s I had folding for a short while. Practically all boxen are borgs at the office. I haven't noticed any dramatic change in production recently, although it does fluctuate. Here's a link to my production:

The big dip was during a "planned power outage" at the university.

I use the CPU client because it has been totally maintenance free.
