Anyone running RAID 05 or 50?

Raid 50 using 40 18gb 10k scsi u80 LVD drives atached to my RS/6000
4 raid 5 arrays are stripped together
reliable and works fine

I can constantly fill the bus to its max from the number of drives

This level of raid is really only for huge enterprise clusters
Though I have once seen a massive Raid 55 array that comprised 400drives
Idea behind it was that entire drive cages could die and the system would be able to keep chugging

Any chance you can run some benchmarks on that behemoth?
