has anyone needed to cut the clips so that the Zalman CNPS7000A-AlCu can fit?
i read on the website that many mobo's arnt 100% compatible with it and you will need to cut the clips

if anyone has had experience doing this, is this hard to do and easy to mess up?

it wont fit on an 8rda+ i know that, the row of capacitors next to the socket prevent it from even coming close to fitting unless you were to hack off a few fins

hmm, I've got a pure copper one, I assume the model is the same, pretty sure it is since I looked at both... Anyway, I'm putting together my machine soon, once a few last things get worked out, I don't think from looking at it and the mobo I'll need to, that's probably more for a few odd ball mobos and so the company doesn't get people up their butt saying it doesn't fit...

i already saw that list and i didnt exactly know what it meant by having to cut the clip to avoid interference

it says that it'll fit on the 8RDA+ with the cutting of the clip but i know what it means by that

anyone know what Zalman is talking about?
