Anyone know what could be wrong here?

Ok, now this wouldnt happen very often.. i'd just reboot to fix it but it would get very annoying.. now it's going on all the time no matter how much i reboot >.<

Computer will run at twice? guess thats the only way i can explain it, time is running faster than normal, games will start to screw up if i even try to play.. movies will play in high speed..

Like i said i don't know how i could exactly explain it. Have had this computer for awhile and it's been doing this for afew months now

Comp specs:

ASUS A7N8X (not delux)
AMD 2200+
512 ram
gf ti4400
120gig WD hd
enermax 350 ps

have you tried going into the CMOS setup to reset everything to factory defaults?

done that, still screws up sometimes :( it's working fine now... hope it stays this way ;p

It's your overclock. there was a thread about this not long ago. You've overclocked your processor, so time runs faster. Essentially, you've created a time sump around your computer. If you want to ripen those peaches, take them out of that stupid brown bag and put them next to your case. Your 8x DVD burner is now 16x. ;)

I must have missed that thread, the factory default settings on motherboard should set my cpu back at normal speed right? maybe i screwed up and didnt hit yes :)

I'll go back and mess with some settings and see if that works, thanks for the help
:D

Can this happen to any comp thats overclocked? or just a problem with some motherboards/cpu's?

thanks again.

I haven't had that problem with mine but I have a more conservative overclock.

It really shouldn't do it, but something about some overclocks and some motherboards will cause the clock to run faster if the CPU is overclocked. I'm not sure.

Oh, and my first post. Sarcasm. Sorry. I don't think I made it clear enough. :D
