OK, I restart my comp. and get this message, "Drive not ready for use. its door may be open please insert disk into "A" drive and try again"

I restart my comp and get the blue screen everyone loves. THAT reads, "something about video adapters and try disabling caching and shadowing" (which are) Then it gives me the BS about start in safe mode.

At the bottom it says, ***Stop 0x0000007E

Heres what Ive done in the past hour. Uninstalled Norton AV and System works and installed NOD32 and Kerio Personal Fire wall. I installed a video game with Direct X 9B. Any ideas the culprit?

Thanks.

If you look of the STOP codes on Microsoft's site, it usually tells you what's wrong.

Try putting the exact error code into Google with quotes around it and see what you can find.

otherwise, boot into safe mode and run a system restore to a point sometime last week.

It doesn't look like anyone here has had this happen to them before.

thanks... ill look into it.

i think it might be a conflict with NAV and new AV software I put in.

event viewer... hm, wheres that located? (Im drawing a serious blank)
