basically ive been running win2k and gene6 ftp server 2.0 forever, but I have had lots of trouble with people not being able to even view from it with IE/firefox/etc...
I dont mind paying for it but I want one that is a try before you buy if possible so I can check it out. it needs to be quite full-featured...

When Bulletproof FTP is properly configured (and it's hard sometimes) it can do anything you need it to, so you might want to check that out. Other than that I have heard that many people like Serv-U but have never used it myself. Really what you are using now should work...maybe you want to open up a thread if you are having problems with that stuff?

servu is pretty decent...

im sure if you look on sourceforge there is probably some free opensource project for a decent w32 ftp server

they have projects for just about anything so i wouldent be suprised ;)

thanks for all the responses :)

what I really wanted was something thathad all the abilities of Gene6 but didnt screw up >_< imma hafta check sourceforge! thats an awesome idea! thanks for alll the other ones too!
