I have a 2011 iMac with Sonnet PCIe enclosure/Myricom 10GbE card, bought in the hopes of making full use of my NAS' potential.
Unfortunately I can't seem to get the maximum out of my network, have tried tweaking the settings as per the guide here http://rolande.wordpress.com/2014/05/17/performance-tuning-the-network-stack-on-mac-os-x-part-2/

Upstream
Have checked all components including putting the Myricom NIC into an Ubuntu box and manage 9.8-9.9Gbits/sec with no tweaking.
Tried different cables
- DAC cable
- SFP+ to SFP+ modules
Tried many different settings, different thunderbolt ports
Using my MBP (results in 1/2 the speeds I see on my iMac!)
It's getting to the point where I have run out of ideas!
Just wondering if anyone here has experience with similar setups as I know this is a pretty niche market!
