Anyone heard yet if their XFX 8800GT has shipped?

Last Thursday or Friday.. it was a one-time deal that lasted about 2 hours.

:(

I payed 279 for my stock!!!!!!!

When did he offer these?
damnit this sucks...

$30 difference. Big deal.

I paid a forum member $275 shipped for a BFG 8800GT OC and it's scheduled to arrive this Friday. FedEx home/ground is the slowest shit ever. The rest of my parts will be here by Thursday, blah.

yeah fedex has really been bad lately... :( i'm not sure why. they were great a few months ago, getting my shipments here like 2 days before teh scheduled date...

Wow, you must lead a miserable life. There is always going to be a deal or sale or coupon for just about every item under the sun. You can't expect to be there for all of them. If $30 makes or breaks you, then performance PC parts probably shouldn't be your priority.

w00t!!! Got mine already! HOT DANG THAT WAS FAST! plus I got a T-shirt for my Son (They did not have my size :( ) and it came with company of heros! HAH I had no idea. w00t now where to get my 2nd one for sli. . . . .

WOOT I got mine today...

turned ou that It actually came with Company Of Hero's instead of lost Planet! haha...

looks like I'll have to go buy that game...

but the card itself looks beautiful.... looks. I can't use it yet. my processor is getting delayed.

Yay! both my card and the mobo I ordered came in today! I'm so happy! Thanks for the t-shirt XFX

Gonna install and register it tonight after work!

Got mine in and installed! Thanks XFX and kyle (no thanks to FedEx...those guys were terrible!)

Got mine about 4 hours ago :D Stupid school mail sorting took what felt like forever.

Anyway, installed without a hitch, while I was in there I 5V'd all my fans and I can't hear my system at all :D

Got my T-shirt and installed Company of Heroes too!

I saw on the box they wrote my name and t-shirt size and model number of the card to be packed; how awesome is that, that's customer service there. It demonstrates the uniqueness of this deal and how awesome it is to me!

Thanks a bunch to Kyle and XFX for setting this up for us!

So my XFX shipment arrived today. Sure enough it included a t-shirt (XL, which I'll shrink just a little in the dryer later hehe) and the GT packed nice and securely in a big box. It comes with Company of Heroes which is pure bonus.

For $250 this was a heck of a deal! Thanks again XFX, and Kyle for setting this up.

Oh and it also included a door hanger that says "I'm gaming. DO NOT DISTURB." on it. Hahahah that's cute. :)

A big thanks to [H] and XFX. I just finished installing mine. Once I get COH installed, I should be all set to have some fun.

To all those that received their cards and you please post some pictures. Thanks!

Once I sober up tomorrow, sure. I'm a pretty good drunk typist lol!

Also your sig is way too long, fix that.

Hmm you noticed that small thing in your drunken state. You must be a habitual drinker lol. Check it again! :p

third time I've drank ever. Three times as much as usual too. I threw up twice already... Ugh haha. Anyway. Yea.

No pics but I do have some quick numbers:

These are on the 169.09 beta drivers.

7900GT at 450MHz GPU / 661MHz RAM (I ran mine low to keep it cool):

CRYSIS

Settings: 1680x1050. Crysis settings at default benchmark settings: "DX9 32bit MedSpec DevMode"

CPU Benchmark:
Play Time: 48.51s, Average FPS: 30.92
Min FPS: 15.77 at frame 196, Max FPS: 39.01 at frame 122
Average Tri/Sec: 20856208, Tri/Frame: 674422
Recorded/Played Tris ratio: 1.07

GPU Benchmark:
Play Time: 62.46s, Average FPS: 32.02
Min FPS: 22.24 at frame 270, Max FPS: 46.54 at frame 73
Average Tri/Sec: 23294540, Tri/Frame: 727514
Recorded/Played Tris ratio: 1.26

-=-=-=-=-=-=-
8800GT at stock settings 600 / 900:

CPU Benchmark:
Play Time: 23.59s, Average FPS: 63.59
Min FPS: 36.49 at frame 923, Max FPS: 95.99 at frame 375
Average Tri/Sec: 43380480, Tri/Frame: 682174
Recorded/Played Tris ratio: 1.05

GPU Benchmark:
Play Time: 29.11s, Average FPS: 68.70
Min FPS: 39.97 at frame 1965, Max FPS: 96.17 at frame 127
Average Tri/Sec: 49983416, Tri/Frame: 727541
Recorded/Played Tris ratio: 1.26

As you can see, my 7900GT was even holding back my CPU benchmark scores in Crysis and by a significant amount! I more than doubled my CPU Benchmark scores and almost doubled my GPU scores.

CoD4:

Settings: 1680x01050. For the 7900GT I used 2xAA, about one third Anisotropic Filtering slider, and most settings enabled except Soften Smoke Edges and I left Texture Quality Automatic.

With cg_drawFPS set to "Simple" (aka "1") I was seeing (and feeling) my 7900GT chugged along in the 20s, dipping into the teens for many parts of the game.

Now with the 8800GT I have all settings maxed out in CoD4 including 4xAA, Texture Quality Manual, Extra, Extra, Extra, and max Anisotropic Filtering slider, and it plays solidly in the 50s, often hitting the 60s cap CoD4 has on default... either 60 or 62fps.

Needless to say I am more than pleased. All this card has to do now is function and it will continue to please me. :)

Btw I also installed RivaTuner and have it controlling the fan speed for better cooling of the card and noise management. In my case (this will vary depending on your case size, ventilation, and what's in your case), I run it at 35% default fanspeed which puts the temp around 55C in Windows. I have it boost the fanspeed to 50% when it goes over 60C, and to 75% if it crosses over 70C. Funny thing is it hasn't hit 70C yet (thankfully lol). While gaming for a couple hours last night (CoD4), it hit as high as 68-69C but the 50% fan speed was able to keep it cool and never over 69C so it never ratcheted up to the 75% setting.

Dude. Hook it up with some ATI Tool testing, guaranteed 80's.

80s what? fps or degree Celsius? lol

If you're saying ATiTool will make it hotter, well sure no kidding but why would i ever want to make it hotter than it will actually be in real usage?

I think your Crysis temps are a bit low anyway, and yeah I meant Celcius.

Crysis is known to make cards hotter than ATI tool does.

Got mine in last Friday from XFX, and am now happily playing around with SLI 8800GT's. Have both cards running at 650-1625-950 SLI right now, and the temps are not high at all with the Thermaltake Du-Orbs i put on the 2 cards this weekend. I dont think the stock coolers would have handled SLI and OC'ing them at the same time.

Hit a max of 138 degrees F on the primary card after playing Crysis for about 2 hours last night (secondary card was at 132) @ 1600x1200 HIGH (except for physics at medium) with no AA. Getting mid 40' FPS now, using the 169.09 drivers that just came out at those settings.

Next upgrade, quad core something...

Thanks again for the hookup XFX and [H], you guys rock!
