Anyone have Senn HD25?

Just wondering how do they sound, since its a closed type headphone. I have the PX100s and I love them.

Assuming you mean the regular HD25's and not the HD25sp's....
Very nice sounding cans but they are a little overpriced.
You will definitely need an amp for them.

The hd-25-1($170) is about the most efficient phone out and can make you deaf from it's ability to get loud.
My son has the hd-25sp($90) and it's similar to the Sony V6 in regard to sound, except the good and bad seem to be moderated. The mids aren't so recessed, the highs aren't quite as biting, the bass isn't quite so overpowering. The bass doesn't go quite as deep as the v6 and the highs seem to be a bit rolled off.It also has a soundstage, something that the v6 really lacks. As far as an amp, I used it on my Mapletree Ear+ and didn't notice much, if any difference aside from the better equipment used.

Funny cause every SS amp I have used with my $61 HD-SP's has had a significant effect on them.

Even a lowly Cmoy gave them better control on the bottom end.
