Desktop Weather, from the Weather Channel.

It looks nice, even if it is ad-supported. No spyware as well.

My only gripe is if it's like WeatherBug. I. Hate. WeatherBug. :D

This said, anyone know any alternatives to WeatherBug? Great idea, just terrible implentation. I don't know why I think it's so bad, but I just don't like it at all.

You know each time I see a link to Softpedia I always see it as "soft porn" for a second. :D.

Qwertyman you better post a link for that extension.

Weatherbug is the Devil. One of the most banned applications as a Novell Administrator. Bandwidth Whore and Spyware Galore...

Exactly... It was the 1st App that I banned :D

I use the WeatherMatrix desktop. Info is provided via Accuweather, but it's small(compared to the crappy Weather Channel and regular Accuweather desktops.) and updates the radar map every 15-20~ mins.

You have to join WeatherMatrix to get it and it will take a day or so to be approved.

I use WeatherEye. I'm not sure if this is a similar type of app as from the WeatherChannel, but it gives updates, contains no spyware and you don't need to be limited to a US zip-code for it to work. It's from the Weather Network, which we get here in Canada.

It runs in the systray, uses a constant 5,096K of memory and updates often (I'm not sure what the interval is, or if you can set it).
