Anyone Have a Samsung 730B?

A few months back I bought a Samsung 712N LCD. While it was a very bright LCD and I could notice a difference in response time from my current 16ms LCD, but viewing angles were terrible and the text was blurry. Even looking at the screen straight on was bad..........

So I was a Best Buy a few days ago and noticed a monitor that looked exactly like the 712N, but it is the 730B, an 8ms LCD w/ DVI. I've been hard pressed to find lots of user reviews about this LCD. I'm interested in buying, but I'm worried that the 730B will suffer from the same problems as the 712N. From the one user review I found on a forum, I'm assuming it does suffer from the same issues.

It's a TN panel so yes, it will suffer from the same problem with very narrow viewing angles. As for blurry text, perhaps there was something wrong with your monitor. Even LCDs that don't have DVI should display really sharp text. I'm assuming you used the monitor on its native resolution?

Yes... I'm assuming my Viewsonic VP171 in a TN panel, and the viewing angles are fine.

Does the picture get darker at the top when you look at the screen from below? If so, it's a TN screen but some TN monitors have better viewing angles that the others. Most of those fast 8ms panels are especially bad.

Very little.. It's perfect when looking at it straight on, something that you can't even do with a 712N.
