Hey all,
I just turned my 1156 box into an ESX host for playing at home and as a result, I've lost my Windows box that serves up 6TB of data/media.
So, I was thought about building a new box to serve all of my data and then came across the Synology DS1511+. Lower power consumption, high performance teaming NICs, and VMware certified. Would be easier to create LUNs and segregate my data. It seems the cost would be paid off in saved energy within a matter of 2 years and it would return higher performance.
Does anyone have one and is it worth the high entry price?
