I just bought a new rig and monitor. Here are the specs:

AMD Athlon 64 3200+
MSI nForce3 "K8N Neo Platinum"
Corsair XMS 1 GB DDR PC3200
Radeon 9800 PRO

And I spent $869 on thr Viewsonic VP201B. Now I was curious if I should return the LCD (still unopened) and get a high end CRT and then get a 6800GT. Would that be better? I don't think the LCD is going to live up to my expectations. What would you?
 
CRT is always better for picture quality and gaming response time. I love the monitor in my sig (NEC FP2141SB) - 21" and didn't cost nearly that much.
 
i think that would be a good idea if you could return it
better gaming experience for sure
