Anyone else see a 3dmark 2k1 score decrease with Cat 5.1s

It was very odd my system drops around 6000 points when I install the cat 5.1s

System is as follows

Intel p4 2.8e@3.6
Abit Ic7-g
X800xt oc'd

went from 257xx to 195xx

figured it was a bad driver upgrade to I reinstalled windows xp, and then the cat 5.1s, same score. So i used driver cleaner to get rid of the 5.1s installed the 4.12 and score was back where it should be. Checked all display properites and looked to make sure vsync wasnt on.
Weirdest damn thing ive seen in awhite especially because I havent seen any other posts with similiar problems

am I alone here?
guess its not a big deal cat 4.12s it is
