Model 256-P2-N517-AX

Geforce 7800GT
Core clock 470 MHz
Memory Clock 1100MHz

The card above uses a 6800 style cooler with copper and is clocked higher.

Model 256-P2-N515-AX

Geforce 7800GT
Core clock 445MHz
Memory Clock 1070MHz

This card uses the newer 7800GT style cooler and is clocked almost as high.

What else is different about these cards? When you search NewEGG for eVGA 7800GT you get quite a bit different listings of the same card, just with different clocks and style of coolers.

I don't get it!!!! :p

The second one comes with quake 4, worth the difference in price?

that may be not true over being able to overclock it, as the n515 model uses an aluminum cooler, the n517 model uses a copper cooler (its the 7800GT CO)

the CO is a better card anyhow, and not sure if you could get that overclock
why would evga include copper, if it didn't need to for those clockspeeds? copper costs more, so why put it there if it isn't going to be necessary?

and either way, all evga's 7800gt's qualify for Quake4: http://evga.com/community/promos/BigNameGame/default.asp?switch=2

oh to hell with it...replace the stock heatsink if you're going to overclock.
