anyone else here think 8ms is an overkill?

i had a samsung 710n which is 12ms, and i noticed no ghosting at all in fast pace shooters like brothers in arms and cs... also, how is 16ms for gaming?

I think the push for lower numbers (that is, sub 8ms) is marketing hype more than anything else, just an easy way to keep the technology progressing as well as having a continual turn around for companies to make more money off of the new technology. The fastest LCD panels today, TN, will probably not exist in a year or two once more overdrive technology starts to emerge.
