I've turned in a few WUs today and points haven't been showing up. Anyone else?



 
you know what...you are right...my lasted WU is from noon yet i have turned in at least 2 since then

No, Krazy. I've been around long enough not to fall for that one (I also don't use Hard Folding site, **Gasp**). It is not showing up on the Stanford site. Obviously Stanford is having some points issue. Not the first time. All the team's are having serious dips in their numbers for yesterday. The good news is that this usually gets fixed within a few days to a couple of months.

HardOCP's numbers were down 180k points yesterday (36%) and OCAUs were down 168k (33%).

Stats server maintenance

The prices are a little high right now but I think that's partly because it just came out and supply seems to be very limited. I would be more interested in the Intel version when it comes out later this year. Some LV Core 2 Duo or Core 2 Xeons is more what I would be interested in.

Yeah,

I'm probably getting a E6600 or 3 and retiring my Athlon XPs. I figure I can retire about 3 for every 1 Core 2 Duo I buy. Should save me about 150-200 watts per E6600. That's $20 off my Power bill per month per E6600
 
I'm seeing the points issue your talking about. sometimes Standford is updating almost immediately but HF isn't getting it for almost 12 hours..

I noticed this going on yesterday. Maybe they started something early over the weekend.

 
i wonder if that's what killed my service on my and my dad's ipcop machines. i've got a thred up asking if other saw it, then i remembered seeing this thread earlier.... possibly something with the ipcop addon that kills the service if it gets too many errors.
 
The big news in this though, v6. If they're getting the backend ready, the client must not be far behind. :D

 
not sure if this is related at all, but last night i finished bringing up a new folding rig, and went to bed while it was looking good.

tonight i checked it out, and it was not doing a thing, cpu sitting idle. restarting the service didn't help, and i looked at the log, throwing out "file unreadable" errors. but that wasn't the really odd thing.

the really odd thing was that there were 2 executables:

FahCore_78.exe
FahCore_82.exe

so, i deleted everything but the client.cfg and work folder, re-ran the installer in that directory, and now it's back up without errors, nearly 2 hours later at 140K of 1M runnign without problems.

Actually the number of cores isn't anything to worry about. My main rig has 6 different ones. Each of the different WU categories normally has their own core executeable. It is good practice though to blast out the cores if you're having trouble, they sometimes do get corrupted and sometimes there are minor tweaks and revision changes.


 
well, EVERY SINGLE TIME i find multiple cores, it coincides with a complete shutdown of work on my windows machines. This is what the log says:
