AMD 64bit 3500+ 2.2Ghz
Newcastle core socket 939
Abit AV8Pro Motherboard Chipset K8T800
Kingston HyperX Ram 1gig Dual channel
timings 2.3.3.7
Evga 6800Ultra

Ext\AGP\PCI 204/66/33 Mhz

I've been using OCGuru to try to overclock. I can't even get it to 205/66/33....I've played with the voltage, memory, and everything else I could think of.....

My CPU runs at around 40C idle and hits maybe around 50C at full load.

What else could I try? I've never really tried OCing before this computer so I'm somewhat new.

wasn't the 3500+ newcastle not a very good overclocker? The winchester is the good overclocker.

how about 6800 Ultras? good for OCing? I gotta have something I can OC lol...

I have the 3500+ Newcastle. Agp@67, Multiplier @11, HTT@210, Voltage@1.536.
That's about as far as I could get it and be rock solid. I went up to 220 HTT, but it was iffy even at 215. I have 2.31 Ghz, so no dramatic increase, but meh, I squeezed out a little.

Any advice from someone more experienced would also be appreciated by me. :D

Oh, yeah OC the 6800U, I'm at 421/1150 with a 6800gt, and I haven't tried too hard. i'm sure the Ultra will go higher.

Can't comment on the CPU, but on the 6800 Ultra, the stock speed is
425/1100.
I can OC my BFG 6800 Ultra Water block to 451/1200. It comes stock at 475/1100, but I get artifacts in 3dMark05, so I backed down the core, and bumped up the memory. The memory is the one that makes a big differance in the benchmarks. I would say that 450/1200 is a good target to shoot for with an ultra, it will give you about 5fps more in HL2 benchmarks with all detail on high.
