Hasn't been going on long, as I just started noticing this bug this week i think.

I am not having issue with this. Clear your cache etc.?

Try clearing cache, with chrome I occasionally see this, and the forum doesnt mark anything as read , quick clear cookies/cache for the site fixes it up.
