I'm using the "bridged" option to connect 2 computers in my house. Is this the best way? I went throught the "setup a home or small office option".

The other computers using a wireless card and running me.

Are you connecting them for internet access, or for the computers to just have access to each other?

For option B, that's cool.
 
Do you have an access point plugged into the other NIC on the machine with the cable modem or another wireless card?

The machine upstairs is what I believe your referring too and it's physically plugged into the router from the network card.

The cable modem is upstairs and also is physically connected to the router.

Anything else?
