i was reading around on hardocp when i came across the a demo that shows off some pixel shader 3.0 stuff. it enables people with a ati 9500 or geforce5200 and up to view a demo of pixel shader 3 on their cards..does this mean that eventually this will be enabled on our mid range cards in upcoming drivers? or are they just teasing us? o ya heres the site if you havnt seen it :http://esprit.campus.luth.se/~humus/3D/index.php

The demo does not enable PS 3.0, it simulates the same functionality (data dependent branching) by using PS 2.0 alpha and stencil tests to perform the exact same function. PS 3.0 has a native call for this function, whereas Humus simply used a simple two step process, the end result is the same.

Sorry, no free PS 3.0 for j00.
