I was looking to build a good CHEAP system for my dad.
He only messes with cameras and some non 3d games like Majong
and card games.

Right now he has a little cheap amd system with 2100 processor and 1 gig
of ddr memory, old nvidia 4200 graphics and onboard sound.

I was thinking about the asroc board that can do ddr and ddr2 as well as pci-e and agp

putting in a ATI 9700 pro, using the ddr memory he has now and saying go for it.

Some very good reviews about this board by the way.. good speed and all but one thing ....via
AHHHH I hate that company....I remember the times when they were hot stuff....tooo bad you had 3 board revisions per and never got anything right


but can something like this with stock cooler live in an older case with an 80 intake and exhaust ?

anyone done something like this....would love to hear input
