I know that this psu isn't worth a whole lot , but the price can be factored into a new build I'm working on. It's one of the older Ultra XConnect 500 watt modular supplies. I bought it from fleabay and it showed up dead. The price I paid was small and the guy refunded me the money. It's just been sitting here and it looks like it has never been used. Does someone want to take a look at it and maybe test each component for me? I don't think that it would take a whole lot to get this thing going and I'd be willing to pay shipping both ways. If interested, pm me and hopefully we can work something out. Oh yeah , I'm in IA.

I had actually purchased it for another build. I had the whole machine together and went to fire it up - nothing - not even a flicker. I put a different psu in and all fired up and worked properly. It seems like I tried it in another machine also and has the same issue. I even tried a different fuse. Is there something else I can try without it being in a machine? I know there needs to be some sort of load to get most PSUs to fire but what else can I try?

Thanks for replying.

I would say, simply buy a new power supply. It isn't really worth the hassle of sending it everywhere trying to get it fixed.
