Yipeee , I got a Scythe INFINITY yesterday and even after that the temps are still the same . People its a waste of time dont buy it. LOL , desperate times , desperate humour , People ask me have you lost the plot and to that I reply I never had the plot in the first place.

Got a mobo left now, the temps MAY change after that.

Hopefully I have my fingers crossed it will be next week. 590 coming soon to a store near you.

Next on my list is the Cool it after about 2 years that is.

Thats going to be middle september , the first one is going to be the asus , which is due next week and after that another asus and hopefully this one.

I have lapped my CPU and my HSF which is worse than i started with . These idle hands , they make you do things.
 
*Raises hand* But the crappy HSF it came with didn't transfer any heat, so it's either dead or crippled at this point. The HSF also effed up my DS3.
 
Yup!!!!! For more than a month now and could not be happier.

nooh I would spend a bit more time on the lapping and get it nice and shiny.

shnapp *drool* umm i prefer xfire, but not like i'm ever going to use it. haha! if i'm buying $125 video cards i shouldnt even worry about them multi gpu/video card nonsense. ;p i'm a bit of an ati... umm i mean amd or wutever they're called now, nut. them 590's should be awsome. i'm kinda hoping ati/amd releases something high performance before they slide into mainstream stuff...

jacuzz, dayum... that's some nice packaging... i'll show you my outpost.com packaging. both times they tore up my package... ram flying about all over the box = very bad. it was so bad that the ocz paper backing was stuck in between one of the heatsink and ram. crazy dhl. i'm guessin i might have to opt for different shipping methods.

I wouldn't count on them for any Xfire stuff after the X1950 series. I highly doubt AMD will continue to allow their dual-card solution on their compettitor's platforms.

Got carried away , it came through the post today , lapped the HSF which didnt need lapping and neither did the CPU , but its done now , I just hope I dont live to regret it .LOL :p

I was going to start on the pots and pans too .................................................My wife stopped me.

I buy direct from Mushkin and thats how they ship it FEdex , it works great and is deflateable and reusable .

Oh and I was a finish machinist back in the day before i got bored and that is sanding not lapping.

I would use diamond slurry and a lapping plate that was motorized and "hand lap " to parallel and square + or - 20 millionths of an inch. Thats lapping. (areospace chit)

I wish i had access to the lapping surface and measuring equipment i had in those days . I could make a killing lapping cpu's on the night shift for you guys . Roflmao

dang... sounds tyte... haha. if only there were someone on here with access to that equipment, it'd be awsome. they'd make a killing if they charged a little on the side. hehe. ;p then again, company property for personal gain etc etc. haha.
awesome. mushkin is an awesome company. my stick of mushkin ram came in a little cd box with butcher paper wrapping. woohoo!
man... i envy your patience... i was waiting for 590 to come out, but i sprung for 975x instead.

lol. sounds ipatient.. haha. obsessive compulsive lapping disorder. is it contagious? i kinda want to lap my noctua when it comes in, but i dont know how... something about different grain sizes of sandpaper, and evenly sanding it down... i dont have no professional equipment. just my fat hands and sandpaper. ;p

The thickness of the plate HSF is about 5mm and i think i am going to be another two weeks without a board , I think i will be on the last mm by the time I get the board.

Man its frustrating , I have had the proccessor for a month now , patiance has took the piss and all its bought is wasted time and my things are worth less than I bought it for.

Even made me collect thermal pastes and got me into some serious lapping, people dare lapp the cpu , i even did that. Please lord have the mercy and send us a 590 board come tommorrow.
 
i actually have one (6600 from monarch came on wednesday) and it actually overclocks to around 3650 ish. broke 14 sec superpi too, shitdammit. cpuid reading voltage wrong. obviously. its around 1.4v .

dayum.... i wonder when my e6400 will hit 3.6 that's umm.... 450fsb for me? hmm... which means super voltage = intel stock cooler melting into a ball of goo. just ordered a northbridge cooler, cant wait to push this board til it smokes... *knock on wood*

dayum... chris has a clean setup... i have cables everywhere in an old old old case.... can't wait for a new one to arrive.... dang i'm so impatient... all i have is hforums to keep me company. ;p so sad... so sad.

Nah, I like my 21" Trinitron, very good color & NO GHOSTING.

I have a 24" flat (Dell 2405) at work & I just don't like gaming on flats. I see slight ghosting even on supposedly "gaming flat panels".

Granted I haven't tried a < 8ms response monitor yet.

The latest 24" with 6ms response times MIGHT be fast enough. I'll have to physically try gaming on one before I buy it though.

So you have tried playing games at work , you are a lucky one , Agree with you on the trinitro , I to have a 21" trintron screen which is a HP p1130 and I picked up cheap, for £50 it was, a bargain.

I've had my E6300 for about a month now. :D The highest FSB I've booted it with is 450. I've only tested for stability at 2.66, and it ran for twelve hours with Orthos Prime blend test under the Intel HSF. I'm satisfied with that speed, and it's certainly an extremely nice upgrade from my Prescott.

I actually just got a Scythe Ninja in the mail today too, I've taken my motherboard out and installed it, but after that I had to go to work, so I guess I'll post some results when I get home.

Bottom line is I allready have a fairly powerful rig , so i can wiat....... :cool:
