ok so we see all these sites using the BETA nvidia drivers and proclaiming the 6800s to be king, but where the hell are the review of the x800xt with the ati beta 4.7 drivers???? as if ati isnt also tweeking thier drivers for performance on thier new card.

i would love to see an x800xt vs 6800u with the new drivers compared

test's the 4.5, 4.6, and 4.7.
big gains from 4.5 to 4.6, but mainly 3dmark03 gains from 4.6 to 4.7 and bug fixes.

Yea there is extremely small performance gains from 4.6's to 4.7's. Pretty much just bug fixes. Usually ATI's driver updates increases performance slightly and is primarily for bug fixes. I've seen large scale catalyst reviews where they compared like 6 driver sets and the performance gain from each one was minimal. ATI doesn't come out with the huge performance gains from driver updates like nVidia does. nVidia turned everything around with their drivers last fall on the 59XX cores and their doing it all again now.
