My friend's laptop has a Mobility X1600. He has 1GB DDR2 RAM and 256MB of memory. He doesn't need HyperMemory stealing RAM. How do I disable this "feature?"

you can't. But it's not like onboard video where it "steals" ram. Hypermemory and turbocache both have local memory as well as the system memory. It only uses the system ram when it actually need it, such as when you're running a game. Otherwise it runs everything out of the local framebuffer. Don't worry, it's not stealing ram. If you look, he still has 1gb of ram just like he should--no less.
