one of my linux boxes has a 8800GTX sat in it doing nothing, I googled a while but didnt really find much help on this.

I do remember seeing a post here a while back saysing its possible somehow but can't find to bloody thing :S

anyone have any tipps?

this is a headless box with nothing but power and network cable attached running as my file server and doing a few other other things.

I apologise if this is off post. I really don't know if it's on post, off post or inbetween posts.
Has anyone heard (like Bro Xil :D) in Stanford et al creating a client for Linux like the GPU2 client for windose  I seem to remember reading or hearing somewhere that Stanford was gonna' get the windose GPU2 on the straight and narrow (fully functional) and then give Linux a shot.

I tried the method mentioned in the post above, but I think I got sidetracked or lost count about the 57th step or so  I'm certainly not saying this method isn't very creative or that it doesn't work, I guess what I'm saying is I don't have the patients or maybe the G2 (book learnin') to install it :( I've learned to like WCG (so I can F@H in windose using the GPU2 client) and I like the new windose (Win 7, ATM you gots to have windose to use the GPU2 client without going through complications) ;)

It could be I'm just a little dim in the light department. (not smart enough)

DCing for the CURE

I saw somewhere (don't ask me which of the 500 forums I read) that stanford will make a GPU2 linux client after the windoze version is 100% stable.

when either of those steps will actually happen or be offcial is a good guess though.

anoying but I guess it makes sense as the majority of users run windows
