Any scuttlebutt on upcomming 30" monitors?

Folks,

I'm in the market for a 30" and am decidedly underwhelmed by the reviews on what's available at the moment. However, since the popular 30 inchers from the likes of Dell, HP, et. al. are now several years old, I'm hoping that a refresh might be on the horizon.

Have we heard any word/rumor/gossip on upcoming 30" models?
 
Check out the new 27inch iMac. its close to the resolution of a 30inch monitor, has displayport input so you can use it as an external monitor for your desktop. ~100bucks cheaper than dells newest 30inch. and you get a secondary computer for folding or whatever you want to do with a mac?
 
Or if you don't want to buy a mac with a screen that's gonna turn yellow you can get the Dell 27" (same panel, different lighting source). Only ~1200 (with ship+tax).
 
The 27in iMac, the Dell U2711, and a few others will likely use that panel. There's that, and there's the upcoming NEC professional line that will have a 27" PA271W and 30" PA301W for exorbitant prices. I suspect that Dell will have another 30" entry by this time next year - the 3008 is more than two full years old - but I have no idea on launch dates.
