Hey all

I checked up on this a few months ago and came up empty handed, so I figured I'd try again.
I have a Gateway C142-XL laptop. Intel C2D 2.4ghz, 3gb ram, and an ati hd2300 discrete gpu. The laptop came with Windows Vista 32bit installed, about a year before Windows 7 came out. I jumped on the Windows 7 bandwagon pretty early on and had no problems getting everything to work, but since I installed the 64bit version of Windows 7, none of Gateway's graphics drivers would work. So I've been running the Windows Update drivers.

Since I have a desktop for gaming, this isn't a huge deal, but I kind of miss being able to play CS:S and TF2 on the go. Everything works fine with the windows drivers (1080p movies, full screen flash in HD, etc.) but games are unplayable, even on low settings. They are way worse than they were on Vista with a proper driver. So I'm wondering if any progress has been made in allowing Catalyst drivers to be installed on any laptop.
