I wanna mount my pump on the side wall so that the discharge will be going out horizontal instead of vertical. Is this a problem?

i too wanted it to go horizontal instead of vertical...

been running that way for 2 months.. no issues..

except it started to bend a little as the glue didn't hold. it wasn't going anywhere becuase i have it screwed in, but the top where the glue was started to come off... added a little superglue and good as new.
 
yeah very similar to that except turned 90 degrees so that the inlet would be facing the camera. Glad that it has no problems working at other angles besides upright, it woulda borked my evil plan for opty 170 cooling! Now I just have to find a place to put that dumb micro res! Ugh that thing is a pain!

i though the the holes on the micro were intended to work with the hole spacings in two vertically adjacent optical drive bays.....

about the only problem with mounting the pump sideways is that you have to be a little more carefull filling and priming the loop, since it's easier for air to get caught in the pump.

once things are full and running, the pump really doesn't care what way it faces.
 
I'm just going to zip tie the micro reservoir to the side of one of my optical drive bays :D

Well my case doesn't have holes, it uses rails for the 5.25 bays. After looking at it during lunch, the thing fits perfectly sitting on top of my 2nd drive. It's literally rubbing the ceiling of my case, but not to the point where I can't move it easily. I think I'm just gonna use the velco to velco it to one of the rails that my vantec nexus is using in slot #3.

Mmm an even better idea than my velco I think, or maybe I'll use both. Should have the leak test started tonight!

Hmm...forgot about the velcro.....

Good idea, I'm going to use the velcro + Zip Ties FTW w00t!!!!
