well, I've got to RMA my Gigabyte 8800GTX...and not happy about it.
The scenario:
installed my card on Friday afternoon, ran fine, no problems.
Saturday, ran fine, no problems.
Turn computer on Sunday...artifacts on the boot up, bios screen, windows, etc.
Restarted about 5 times, similar effects everytime (different looking artifacts though), until the last time I got nothing but a blank screen. And now that's the permanent situation.
I installed the default drivers, absolutely no overclocking on the card at att (or anything on my computer...what's the point nowadays?). When something works flawlessly for two days, and then with absolutely no changes to the rig, fails to work on the third...makes me think that not *all* of the defective boards were replaced before they went out.
p.s. reinstalled my x850, computer works fine again....guess what I get for being an early adopter.
