does anyone know of any other photography forums that are very active with posts? Thanks. What does everyone think of the forums at dpreview??
 
I've found photo.net's forums to be helpful, along with the rest of their site. I'd also be interested in finding other forums, hopefully one's not digi based.
 
Dpreview is great... but the single-reply format drives me absolutely INSANE.

Photo.net is also great. The community there is very serious and professional. They really know their stuff but, from what I've seen, are suprisingly helpful to newbies.

Haven't looked at fredmiranda before, seems like it could be interesting.
 
I read fredmiranda every day. I have found the forum design of dpreview to be unattractive.

Besides, the guys at fredmiranda are extremely helpful and post the most beautiful shots...

Photography-on-the-net.com and photo.net are great places


Also, I took torment's advice and tried out fredmiranda.com, and it's a great place, too. :)
 
Yeah, it really irritates me when great forum's use that horrid single-reply format. Back when I was into DIY audio equipment, one of the best forums on the web used that format and I could never get used to it.
