Ok i've been looking for a 26" since this summer. I was about to buy a DS-263 but they were just starting to be discontinued due to the new DS-265. I decided to wait for that, what a bad idea that was. DS-265 is worse than the old 263.

Now I hear planar is being discontinued. Also both the 263 and planar are old, so I am wondering if anyone knows about a new upcoming 26 inch IPS monitor. Also I would buy a 263 if I can find it in stock

I contacted Planar concerning the unavailability of the px2611w, a rep told me they're just having supply issues, and that the model is "definitely not discontinued." He said you'll be able to order it directly from their web store starting Nov 21 (and presumably elsewhere, too.)

It has the i at the end to differentiate it from the old model. The updated version has HDCP and additional inputs amongst other goodies. It supposedly has an A-TW polarizer and its standard gamut (well, the specs don't specify Wide Gamut at least). Hazro is supposed to start selling in the U.S. soon.

The only question is whether or not it'll be retarded like the updated 24" and not include backlight control.
