I don't think it's my network, but I've got 9 SMP and 2 Standard clients without any work to do.

I just downloaded work here on a GPU and a Classic client. The "Could not CosmHTTPOpen" error usually points to a local network issue.

I agree with that, those are usually caused by network errors (blocked ports usually or partial internet access).
 
Thanks! It turned out to be a DNS issue, for some reason, couldn't resolve xxx.stanford.edu IP addresses.
