it used to be a 12ms TN Film panel from AUO, but now it has been updated to 8ms. They state on that page that it's using Clearmotiv, but is this a true Overdrive panel (ie improved G2G aswell) or have they just cut the ISO response time a little to be in keeping with the 8ms panels like the Samsung used in the Hyundai L90D+ etc?
 
I've seen this new monitor at a distributor and I must say it's very fast, but it is a TN+Film panel. (they've said it is an MVA, but viewing below it is obvious that it is a TN. And also there are no 8ms MVA panel without overdrive and here is no sign of the "overshoot" effect.)

The viewing angles are very good for a TN panel and the color shift is minimal. (better than of the 4ms VX924 which I was able to observe parallel with the new VX912)
 
thanks for the reply. I'm pretty sure it's just an updated version of the 12ms AUO panel they were using before anyway in the 12ms VX912. Think they've probably just tweaked it a bit (prob only very slightly) to make it a little faster so they can market it as 8ms to keep up with the trends.........
