Any idea on whether or not such a thing as quad core am2 opterons will exist? I've been going through pictures of AMD roadmaps and misc articles trying to find some solid info and haven't found much..
I have one of those Dell T105's and I like how they mention the "quad-core upgradeability" but such a cpu doesn't exist yet. Oh and they won't support phenoms.. but at least they give me the hope that at some point in time, probably when I'm having a snowball fight with the devil in hell, AMD will manage to disgorge such a product out at their mysterious and unfathomable leisure.
So if anyone has any info, it would be much appreciated..
Thanks and I apologize in advance if the info I'm looking for is common knowledge already, as I haven't kept up with AMD processors since I started working as a desktopsuppot/network admin assistant and had the love of computers destroyed by people whom I call "end users" or occasionally "vacuous tunnels of illogical gross ineptness held together by sheer stupidity, luck and their seemingly sole purpose in making my waking sober hours difficult."
