Hi guys, I was wondering if somebody can help me figure out a way to solve this dilemna
So in the first generation of SATA, I had the Asus A7N8X deluxe motherboard with a barton 2500 (one of the best/stable combo's ever IMO). With that I had two SATA drives, western digital 250gb running RAID 0 throught the SATA connections. Here's the problem, so eventually I upgraded and didn't really back up the information which contains gigs of important pictures, documents, and your usual gigs of music/movies/anime. When my brother tried to take it out and use it on his new machine, it detected it but the data would have been lost and the drives would be reformatted. So my question is if there's any way I can get the data off. It seems like it has to be the same RAID controller, on the Asus I believe it was the "Promise" controller. I currenly have a Biostar K8NHA pro Motherboard with the S754 platform. So would I have to get the same motherboard or controller to access the data? Or am I screwed and I'll never be able to get that information back again? (I don't think I'll ever go back to RAID...) Thanks guys and I hope you guys can help! -Ken
