With some help from the forums here I have a pretty solid machine and with the 6 cores decided to try some folding@home.
I sold all my watercooling equipment because it was getting old and I really saw no need to OC my new 3.2 X6 1090T another 25% when it would already be 300% faster than my last machine.
I have a SILENT HAF932 that I love but running folding@home 24/7 with the 6 cores at 100% I'm a little concerned with the heat. Core Temp reads 41C (not sure how accurate) but wondering if switching to the H70 would help enough to warrant it's cost.
I know, I know, everyone wants to reply "get a real loop" but I'm just getting grumpier and older and don't want to go through the whole setup again.
The question is if the H70 would make that much difference on the 1090T at 100% load. If it really made a difference I might push the cpu abit but again not too interested to OC at this time.
I'm asking here because most H70 reviews concern the 920-930 etc. I'd probably want to replace the fans that come with it also as I didn't get a HAF 932 to hear a ton of noise either.
Thank you for your time.
