Looking for a free app that will allow me who's connected to my wireless network.

I've tried Airsnare...but just won't work on my Windows 2000 box.

need a solution pretty quick as I suspect something is going on...(will explain later).

Need to check this possible intrusion before taking security measures.

thanks for any help!

Ethereal is a free network analyzer that will capture all network traffic. It will show you the computer's IP, MAC, hostname, what sites are being visited, and more.

FWIW, I just installed Airsnare on my XP SP2 machine and it would not run. I received a "comdlg32.ocx" missing or not registered error. I downloaded the file here and installed it as directed. Airsnare then worked.

doesnt your wireless access point tell you what is connected to it? it should tell you the hostname, the ip address, the mac address and probably the duration of the connection. it may even have the option to sever connections.

thanks guys.

going to try airsnare again with those files.

atomizer, I think the Linksys router will will do that, but I need a more intellgible log file. Airsnare should do the trick..hopefully.

Thanks again for the replies.
