Any final touches?

Well I hope that i dont have any issues with EK. I knew about there issues with the copper and nickle plating. I wonder how bad that has hurt there company...

Whats wrong with the dye?

sorry will be faster school has been kicking my ass been tired all day

It's just a practice of avoiding EK altogether for their terrible treatment of retailers and users, blaming their faulty products on the retailers and users. It really isn't about the bad plating practice at all, although to some degree it is.

Dyes are recommended against in general, because they have a tendency to gunk up systems and clog blocks, reducing their effectiveness.

oh i just wanted the water in my res to be blue like everything else...

Should i change the water every 6 months if i use it?

@OP

If you want a great dye, use Mayhem's, http://wcdyes.com/shop2/ they do not gunk and they last. If you want something white that can be dyed to a milky look, get this....http://icedragon.mybigcommerce.com/
Regarding blocks; I was an Aqua owner for about 9 years and then I switched to EK, big mistake. I have since gone back to Aqua. However, I still use EK reservoirs and EK pump tops.

I thought about just buying that non conductive water that is already dyed and i dont have to worry about screwing it up.

Should i just return that other dye? Im going to return one of the fill ports cuz im getting QDCs insted.

Btw thank you. I am really impressed with koolances cpu water block its really heavy and looks really nice. when i build everything ill take tons of pics and make a thread for Victor.

They've had some poor quality control as of late, but the worse part has been their responses to complaints. They completely blamed the problems on the user when it was clearly their fault.

Precisely. Their PR in this niche market absolutely disgusts me. If that res is what you like and you want it, then get it! It's not going to burst into flames or anything. In fact, chances are it will work perfectly fine. It's just my personal choice not to support EK as a company. I could go on, but that's a little OT.

I expect pics as you build!

I would advise against the use of dyes, as they tend to break apart and clog up your loop, like others have mentioned.. If you want color, get colored tubing.

As for the fans, I would advise against having a bunch of LED fans for your rad. Nothing against LEDs, it's just that there are better fans for the money you are spending and better cooling. You want fans with high static pressure like Gentle Typhoons I believe.

And last thing, why are you going for a 480 GTX? If you want Nvidia, 570 or 580. AMD, 6950 or 6970. If they are out of your price range atm, then I do not recommend you waste money on watercooling that 480 GTX. You also listed 2x GPU waterblocks, not sure if that's an oversight (as they are different brands), but regardless the above still holds true.

I believe he has one GTX 480 already and is adding a second one.

I see. Then I could probably see the benefit in adding a second 480, though I don't see the value in watercooling those cards right now. The added expensive could be used towards a future purchase I think of a higher end card, IMO.

Liquid cooling is all in fun thats why its a hobby plus 480s are really hot and loud when i gamed. I want to get my AX1200 and get 3 480s all under water. That is my goal.
