Is there a difference between HDMI-DVI cable and HDMI-DVI-D cables?

I ordered Belkin HDMI-DVI-D PureAV silver series video cable and received a Belkin PureAV HDMI-DVI video cable? (it says 720p- 1080i). Now are these two cables identical or did they misship/misadvertized?

Dont be fooled by expensive cables. A digital signal is a digital signal.
A $5 cable will deliver the same signal as a $100 one.

If thats true what about the silver connections and gold connections. gold should

At long distances, higher qualities will help maintain a connection. However, digital is digital. There is no degradation like with analog, so if you get any signal, it is a perfect signal.

Gold helps prevent corrosion of the connectors. It has nothing to do with signal quality.
